Nucleus Colonies

At Decatur Ridge Apiaries, we’re proud to offer our premium nucleus colonies. Our colonies come with a proven, well established laying queen, three frames of brood, and two frames with an adequate supply of food resources to get you off and running. We take care to ensure that each colony is in good health, so you can rest assured that you’ll get a high quality product every time.  

All nucs are pick-up only at one of our apiaries in Southwest Michigan and are available starting in May.

If we are sold out please feel free to reach out to us via our contact form below and we will put your name on our waiting list. It's quite common for us to have extra nucs available in the spring.
